Yunmen said forget the light give me the reaching. Reaching is complicated. I happens when I am separated from HERE. I have forgotten I am already part of the whole. I am never excluded no matter my assumptions or stories. So Reaching is a deeply ironic state. According to koanic legend - The (unattained Buddha) sat for a KALPA or more on the throne of enlightenment, but never became enlightened. Why? How can that be so?
